In August I went to Craig, Alaska on my first fishing trip ever. I wasn't sure what to expect and never dreamed it would end up ranking as one of the best vacations of my life! I still can't believe how much fun I had fishing with Rafael. I was a total beginner, but it didn't matter at all. Rafael put my fears to rest in the first few minutes on the boat and instantly made me feel at ease. I couldn't wait to get back out on the water each day I was there. Now I'm one of those people that can't stop talking about all the fish they caught in Alaska! Thanks for a trip of a lifetime Rafa, I can't wait to do it again!

I have known Rafael for several years. He is such a fun person to spend time with. He has always had this amazing ability to get his fishermen into the largest halibut and other bottom fish. If anyone is catching salmon, Rafael is in the middle of it! He has an eye for detail and makes sure that everyone is having a great time. He is an acclaimed athlete and all around good guy. If you are lucky enough to book with Rafael, DO IT!

This guy knows how to fish the alaskan waters! i have lived here on Prince of Wales Island for 40 years, and ive known Rafael most of the years he has been here, by far one of the best fishing guides i have seen produced in todays guiding industry, guaranteed to get you on the fish!

I've known Raffie for several years. He is one of those young guys who is a "go-getter". He has the ability to keep clients fishing, even in a hot coho bite. He is organized and very in tune with client's needs. He is also very good at finding BIG halibut. There are no guarantees in salt water fishing, but he will give 100% to make your trip a success. It is always great to fish with him.

Raffie is an exceptional young man. He is an outstanding guide and works his rear off to see his clients successful. His knowledge of the waters around Prince of Wales Island aids in his ability to fill the boat's fish box. If something isn't working, he is not hesitant to go to another spot or try a new strategy. I highly recommend this young and enthusiastic guide!

It has been a few years ago that Raf guided my father and myself at one of the lodges he worked for prior to Tranquil Charters. I am absolutely sure that our trip was one of those "Trips of a Lifetime" experiences due to Raf being a conscientious and safe Captain. When you see someone who fishes as much as he does and still gets excited to go out...Your in for a good time!

I am a little late getting the great news that Rafeal hung his own shingle. I have not heard from him since I went fishing with him,,, He took six of us out, all at the same time,, We are not an average 6 guys!,,,,,,he will tell you that. Rafeal did a fantastic job serving us and providing us excellant guide service. He also provided a safe conditions and all us when we left, that he did an amazing job.
I would recommend Raf to anyone,,, Good Job Raf,, You will do great
